Many people live with fatigue as a result of many different health conditions. Fatigue can be very debilitating and impacts on all areas of daily life. When you are unable to perform your everyday activities, roles and routines it can quickly have a negative effect on your mental wellbeing.
As an Occupational Therapist I have core skills in analysing activities, breaking them down into their component parts and understanding what skills are required to master them. This is key to teaching energy conservation techniques to enable you to complete your daily activities in a structured way - at home, at work and at play.
The 3 concepts of pacing, planning and prioritisation will underpin my work with you, and I will also teach you deep relaxation techniques. Deep breathing relaxation is essential for its calming effect and to restore balance in the body. With these key techniques in mind, I am confident that I can help you to manage your fatigue effectively.
